Rising temperatures increase the risk of heat-related illnesses like heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Breakdown of Heat-Related Illness Cases:

Other Cases – 6%
Includes dehydration, fainting, and other mild to moderate heat-related conditions.

Heat Stroke – 18%
A severe and life-threatening condition where the body’s temperature rises above 40°C, leading to confusion, seizures, or unconsciousness.

Heat Cramps – 23%
Characterized by painful muscle spasms due to loss of electrolytes and fluids through sweating, often occurring during or after intense physical activity.

Heat Exhaustion – 58%
The most common condition, caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures, excessive sweating, and dehydration.
Symptoms include: dizziness, nausea, and weakness.

How to Stay Cool & Hydrated

  • Drink Plenty of Water
    Aim for 8–10 glasses per day to prevent dehydration.
    Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
  • Limit Outdoor Activities
    Stay indoors between 10 AM – 4 PM, the hottest part of the day.
  • Use Sunscreen & Shade

If You Work or Exercise Outdoors:

  • Take Frequent Breaks
