Four security guards assigned to a residential property were recently recognized for their vigilance, teamwork, and swift response during a bicycle theft attempt that occurred within the premises. Their quick action helped prevent the suspect from escaping and ensured that the stolen property was successfully recovered.
According to a report, the incident began when a suspicious individual entered the property through the pedestrian gate and proceeded toward the parking area where several bicycles were stored. Upon receiving information about the individual’s presence, the security team immediately coordinated and began closely monitoring the situation through CCTV footage while guards stationed at key entry and exit points were instructed to remain alert.
During the monitoring, CCTV footage showed the individual moving through different areas of the property before reaching the location where a bicycle was parked. Within minutes, a roving guard spotted the suspect riding a bicycle valued at approximately ₱459,325 and heading toward one of the exit gates.
Acting swiftly, the guards moved to intercept the individual. Although the suspect attempted to flee on foot after abandoning the bicycle, the security personnel pursued him and successfully apprehended him with the assistance of nearby civilians. The bicycle was safely recovered, and authorities were immediately notified for proper investigation and handling of the incident.
In recognition of their dedication and bravery, the four security guards involved were awarded certificates and tokens of appreciation. Residents also expressed their commendation and gratitude for the guards’ alertness and commitment to protecting the community.
Their swift and coordinated response highlights the important role of security personnel in maintaining safety and order, particularly during incidents such as this bicycle theft attempt.
