During the culminating activities of STMicroelectronics’ (STMicro) EHS Week, front-line security personnel took center stage as they were formally recognized for their courage, vigilance, and unwavering dedication to maintaining site safety. The commendations were personally presented by the STMicro General Manager, alongside the Site Manager and various department heads, honoring the personnel whose decisive actions protected the facility and its workforce.
A total of 35 Security Personnel (SPs) were collectively recognized for their invaluable response during the fire incident at the STMicro plant on April 13, 2026. Facing a critical emergency, these dedicated guards acted swiftly, playing a vital role in containment and firefighting efforts to safeguard lives and property across the plant.
In addition to the collective response during the fire, four individual SPs received special commendations for outstanding performance in the line of duty. Their exceptional achievements included the swift apprehension of a theft suspect on site, the interception and apprehension of an unauthorized intruder, and the provision of vital assistance during emergency situations.
