In recent data, 5,283 fatal work injuries were reported in 2023, and 2,747 road deaths occurred in 2024—a staggering 35% increase from the previous year. At home, 18,217 fire incidents were recorded by the Bureau of Fire Protection in 2024, highlighting the critical need for preparedness and safety awareness in domestic spaces. These statistics reinforce the need for continuous efforts to eliminate hazards before they lead to tragedy.
Simple yet effective tips can make a big difference: wear proper PPE, report potential hazards, keep emergency exits clear, know emergency procedures, and participate in regular drills. Everyday actions like avoiding overloaded power outlets, checking fire extinguishers, and reporting faulty equipment help reduce risks significantly.
