Carzon, Detachment Commander at EDC-Bacman, demonstrated all these qualities during an alcohol-related incident that could have compromised site safety and security.
At approximately 11:55 AM, during a routine roving inspection, SO Carzon observed suspicious behavior from an individual attempting to conceal a tumbler. His instincts and attentiveness led him to further investigate the item, which was later found to contain intoxicating liquor. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, he immediately called the Site Medical Team to administer alcohol breath tests. The tests confirmed that one driver and two workers had consumed alcohol. A fourth worker was found asleep and was too intoxicated to complete the procedure.
Through the strict enforcement of EDC’s Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, SO Carzon acted decisively, containing the situation and eliminating a serious safety threat. His swift action, composed leadership, and commitment to duty earned commendation from both EDC and the LINKED Group.
