Advancing Life-Saving Competence Through Standard First Aid Training

A comprehensive Standard First Aid Training with BLS-CPR and AED Operations was successfully conducted, bringing together participants from Energy Development Corporation (EDC), Silver Link Security personnel, and various First Aider contractors. The program was designed to elevate the capabilities of responders in handling medical emergencies, strengthening both their theoretical foundation and practical skills essential for real-world situations.

Conducted at the EDC–MAGP facility in Temfacil, Barangay Ilomavis, Kidapawan City, the training emphasized hands-on learning and active participation. Attendees were guided through critical procedures in basic life support, including proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and the effective use of automated external defibrillators (AED). Through structured simulations and scenario-based exercises, participants were able to refine their response time, enhance coordination, and develop sound decision-making under pressure—key factors in life-threatening situations.

Beyond technical instruction, the training fostered a culture of preparedness and accountability among all participants. It reinforced the importance of immediate and appropriate intervention during emergencies, ensuring that responders are not only knowledgeable but also confident in executing life-saving measures when it matters most.

This initiative highlights a strong and ongoing commitment to safety, operational readiness, and professional excellence. By equipping personnel with critical emergency response skills, the program contributes to building a more resilient workforce—one that is capable of protecting lives and maintaining safety across diverse operational environments.
