Standing firm against theft, Security Personnel (SP) Daniel Malay and Detachment Commander (DC) Norberto Luyahan of LINKED Group once again demonstrated exemplary vigilance and decisive action when they successfully prevented a theft incident on April 2, 2025, at the SSS-HK Sun Plaza Building in Pasay City.
While assisting maintenance staff in the building, SP Malay noticed irregularities in the electrical system—specifically signs of tampering with the wiring. Trusting his instincts and training, he immediately reported the observation to DC Luyahan. The two promptly organized a coordinated inspection with the maintenance and janitorial teams. Their swift response led to the discovery of a male suspect hiding inside an unused comfort room within the premises.
Upon apprehension, the suspect was found in possession of stripped electrical wires and burglary tools. Further verification revealed that the same individual had been previously caught in March for a similar attempted theft, reinforcing the significance of constant vigilance in property protection.
This incident highlights the importance of alertness, teamwork, and a strong commitment to duty. Through the quick thinking and dedicated service of SP Malay and DC Luyahan, greater property loss was effectively averted.
